Sigma-Aldrich Ribonuclease A (RNase A) is a molecular-biology-grade, lyophilised endoribonuclease derived from bovine pancreas, with a specific activity of at least 70 Kunitz units per mg of protein. It cleaves single-stranded RNA after pyrimidine nucleotides and is used to remove RNA from plasmid DNA, genomic DNA and protein preparations. DNase, nickase, exonuclease and endonuclease activities are not detected.
