Bio-Rad AG 501-X8 is a biotechnology-grade mixed-bed ion-exchange resin for deionising water and nonionic laboratory solutions such as acrylamide, urea, formamide, glyoxal and polyethylene glycol. It combines strong cation-exchange resin in the H⁺ form with strong anion-exchange resin in the OH⁻ form, allowing ion exchange to form water without introducing unwanted counterions. The resin may be used in batch or column procedures.
